La semaine dernière s’est déroulé le Symposium international de l’artichaut à Saint-Pol-de-Léon, capitale mondiale, comme chacun sait, de cette plante extraordinaire.

Nous (l’agence « Expression”) avons eu l’honneur et le plaisir de réaliser l’affiche de cet événement.

L’artichaut est une plante méditerranéenne, son nom vient de l’arabe āl-ḫaršwf, d’où la typographie utilisée.

La réalisation est d’Expression, donc, avec le concours de Mathieu Réguer, designer typographe, qui a composé ce texte, et qui est également l’auteur de la police utilisée, Cassius, qui décline son design en caractères latins et arabes.

Last week, the International Symposium on Artichoke took place in Saint-Pol-de-Léon, the astonishing vegetable capital of the world, as we all know.

We (the Expression agency) had the honor and the pleasure to design a poster for the event.

The artichoke is a mediterranean plant. Its name comes from the Arabic āl-ḫaršwf, this explains the typography we used.

The poster was designed by Expression, with the help of Mathieu Réguer, type designer, who set the text. He also hapen to be the designer of Cassius, the typeface used here, that support both Arabic and Latin scripts.
